Who we are

PawSums (pawsums.com) is run by IKSS Ltd, a company registered in Bulgaria, 64 Koprivshtitsa Blvd, Plovdiv 4000, Bulgaria. IKSS Ltd is the controller of the personal data described here. Contact: support@pawsums.com.

The short version

• The calculators work without an account. What you type into them stays in your browser and is not sent to us.
• If you ask for the free checklist, we store your email address and send you the checklist plus a few emails with pet care tips and offers. You can unsubscribe in one click.
• If you buy the handbook, Stripe handles the payment. We receive your email address so we can deliver the download.
• We never sell your data and never share your email with advertisers.

What we collect and why

Email sign-up (free checklist)

We collect your email address and the date you signed up. We use it to send you the checklist, a short series of follow-up emails with practical tips, and occasional offers for our own products, such as the New Pet Parent Handbook. Legal basis: your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)), which you give when you submit the form and can withdraw at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email or by writing to us.

Handbook purchases

Payments are processed by Stripe, which acts as the merchant of record and collects the card and billing details itself; we never see your card number. Stripe sends us your email address, the amount paid and an order reference so we can email your download link and help you if something goes wrong. Legal basis: performance of a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)) and our legal obligations for accounting records. Stripe's own privacy policy applies to the payment itself.

Website analytics

We use PostHog (servers in the European Union) to understand which pages and calculators are used, including clicks on affiliate links. PostHog sets a cookie or local storage entry to recognize repeat visits. We use this data in aggregate to improve the site, not to build advertising profiles.

Affiliate links

Some links to Chewy and PETLIBRO are affiliate links. When you click one, the store and its affiliate network may set their own cookies to credit the sale; their privacy policies apply on their sites.

Who processes data for us

• Convex (database and backend, United States): stores sign-ups and orders.
• Resend (email delivery): sends our emails.
• Stripe (payments, merchant of record for the handbook).
• Vercel (website hosting).
• PostHog (analytics, European Union).

Some of these providers are based in the United States. Where data leaves the European Economic Area, it is protected by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses used by these providers.

How long we keep it

• Email sign-ups: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. After unsubscribing we keep only a record that the address opted out, so we never email it again.
• Order records: as long as Bulgarian accounting and tax law requires.
• Analytics: according to PostHog's retention settings, in aggregate form.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to restrict or object to its use, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Write to support@pawsums.com and we will reply within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority; in Bulgaria that is the Commission for Personal Data Protection (cpdp.bg), or the authority in the country where you live.

Children

PawSums is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell subscribers by email.
